Plain-English answers · From the team that built this

How can we
help?

Below: how to create a Pods Offline account, join your first pod, host a club, verify your photo, manage paid pods, handle refunds, and report safety concerns. Written by the small team that also answers your emails.

Getting started

First time on Pods?

How do I create an account?
Creating an account takes under two minutes. Set your interests, browse nearby pods, and join or create your first one. There's no feed to scroll and no profile to optimise. Just show up.
How do I join a pod?
Public pods can be joined instantly. Invite-only pods require the host to accept your request, or for you to have a private link. Once you join, you'll get plan details and any updates from the host directly in the app.
What is Self Mode?
Self Mode lets you claim time for things you love and signal to others nearby that you're doing that activity right now. No chat required. Show up and lock in.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account at any time from app settings. Your personal data is removed shortly after deletion.
Hosting

Running a pod or a club.

How do I host a pod?
Anyone can host. Set an activity, a time, a location, and a cap on how many people can join. Choose whether it's public, invite-only, or link-based. Make it a one-off or set it to repeat weekly or monthly. See the full host guide →
Can I charge for my pod?
Yes. Hosts can choose to charge an attendance fee for their pod, handled quietly in the background. The price is set by the host and shown clearly before anyone signs up.
How do I remove a member?
Tap the member's profile in your pod and select "Remove". You can also block them from any future pod you host. Persistent issues should be reported via the in-app safety button.
I'm a creator, is there a program for me?
Yes. See the creator program → Applications open monthly.
Safety standards

How we keep this place safe.

Pods Offline is committed to a safe platform for all users. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse or exploitation. The list below is non-negotiable.

Photo verification
Every account must complete a photo verification step before joining or hosting a pod. We compare a live capture against your profile photo. Accounts that fail verification cannot RSVP.
Reporting unsafe behaviour
Use the in-app report button on any user profile, message, or pod. Or contact our safety team directly: [email protected]. All reports are reviewed by a trained human, quickly.
Child safety policy (CSAE)
Sharing, creating, or distributing child sexual abuse material is strictly prohibited. Grooming, solicitation, or any sexual content involving individuals under 18 is strictly prohibited. Violations result in immediate account termination, permanent ban, and referral to law enforcement and NCMEC. There are no second chances on this. Contact [email protected] for child safety concerns. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement directly.
What happens at meetups
Pods Offline is the platform; pods are organised by users. We aren't responsible for what happens at a meetup, but we provide the tools (verification, reporting, host controls) that keep the community safe. Attend at your own discretion. Trust your gut. Always meet in public the first time.
Community guidelines

The rules we live by.

Common sense, written down. Pods Offline is built around one idea: real connection in real life. These exist to protect that.

Show up.
When you join a pod, someone has made a plan around your attendance. Ghosting isn't neutral. Cancel with enough notice if something genuinely comes up. Make showing up your default.
Respect the space.
Every pod is someone's favourite cafe, regular trail, or living room. Treat it accordingly. Leave places better than you found them.
No harassment. No exceptions.
Unwanted messages, following someone after an event, making someone uncomfortable, any form of discrimination. One report is enough for us to act.
Keep it real.
Use your real name and an honest description of yourself. Pods Offline is not a dating app or a networking platform. It's a place for people who want to do things together.
Hosts set the tone.
If you host a pod, you're responsible for the experience. You can remove members at any time. If a situation escalates, contact us at [email protected].
Payments & refunds

Money, clearly.

Is Pods Offline free?
The core experience is free. Joining pods, Self Mode, and browsing your city costs nothing.
Paid plans & subscriptions
If you upgrade to a paid plan, you can cancel any time. Access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for. No cancellation fees. Manage subscriptions through your Apple ID or Google Play account.
Refund window
If you were charged in error, or you contact us within 7 days of your first payment and haven't meaningfully used the paid features, we'll refund you in full. No questions asked.
Pod fees charged by hosts
Some hosts charge attendance fees for their pods. Those transactions are between you and the host (we facilitate via Stripe). If you have a dispute with a host, contact us and we'll do our best to help mediate.
